Getting Started
Upgrading to Pro? Important First Step!
Before you install and activate Think Smart Discount Pro, you **must deactivate and delete the free version** from your Plugins page.
Keeping both plugins active at the same time will cause a fatal error on your site. Don’t worry, your settings will be saved and automatically applied when you activate the Pro version.
Installation and Activation
- Upload and activate the Think Smart Discount PRO plugin on your WordPress site.
- After activating, navigate to the **”Smart Discount”** menu in your admin dashboard. This is the activation page.
- Enter the license key you received after your purchase and click **”Activate License”**.
- Once activated, you will be redirected to the main dashboard and all plugin features will be unlocked.
- Go to **Smart Discount -> Active Campaigns** to set your “Discount Application Strategy” (e.g., apply the highest discount or stack them).
- You can now visit the other sub-menus like **Bulk Pricing**, **Cart Discount**, etc., to start creating your first automated campaigns!

What’s the difference between the Free and Pro versions?
The free version provides essential tools for permanent price edits and basic, store-wide discounts. The Pro version unlocks all automation and loyalty features, advanced targeting, and customer experience enhancements.

Why isn’t my discount applying?
This can happen for a few reasons:
- Campaign Inactive: Check your “Active Campaigns” dashboard to ensure the campaign is running.
- Conditions Not Met: The customer’s cart may not meet the minimum amount or quantity required for the discount.
- Discount Strategy: If your global strategy is set to “Apply only the highest discount,” a smaller discount may be ignored if a larger one is already active.
- Caching: If you use a caching plugin, try clearing your site’s cache.
- User Not Logged In: Discounts based on purchase history or loyalty require the user to be logged in.
How do Reversible Campaigns in Bulk Pricing work?
When you start a reversible campaign, the plugin securely saves the original regular and sale prices of every affected product. When you stop the campaign, it uses these saved values to revert all prices back to their original state, ensuring no data is lost.
Does this plugin slow down my site?
No. The plugin is designed for performance. Discount calculations run only during cart and checkout actions, which are not cached. Frontend elements like progress bars are loaded efficiently without impacting your site’s overall speed.
