Getting Started
Upgrading to Pro? Important First Step!
Before you install and activate ThinkCaptcha Pro, you **must deactivate and delete the free version** from your Plugins page.
Keeping both plugins active at the same time will cause a fatal error on your site. Don’t worry, your settings will be saved and automatically applied when you activate the Pro version.

Does this plugin slow down my site?
No. The plugin is designed to be lightweight. The reCAPTCHA script is loaded asynchronously from Google’s servers and only on pages where it is active, ensuring minimal impact on your site’s performance.
Why isn’t the reCAPTCHA box appearing?
This can happen for a few reasons:
- Keys are Missing or Incorrect: Ensure you have correctly entered the Site Key and Secret Key in the ThinkCaptcha settings page.
- Integration is Disabled: Make sure the toggle for the specific form (e.g., WordPress Login) is enabled in the settings.
- JavaScript Conflict: Another plugin or your theme might be causing a JavaScript error that prevents the reCAPTCHA script from running correctly. You can check your browser’s developer console for errors.
I get an “ERROR: Please verify that you are not a robot.” message even after checking the box. Why?
This error most commonly occurs when the **Secret Key** is incorrect. Please ensure you have copied the Secret Key from your Google reCAPTCHA panel and pasted it correctly into the plugin settings without any extra spaces.
Is the plugin compatible with my theme?
Yes, ThinkCaptcha is designed to work with any standard WordPress theme. The reCAPTCHA box is a standard element that should display correctly in most environments.
